Every Tuesday morning we get food at work- alternating bagels with cream cheese or KK donuts.
There are two diabetics working here. They noted that the bagels are “worse” than the donuts.
I decided to investigate:
Statistics from Kalahari Rusks
Bagel | Donut | |

Oh dear.
So, in summary, looks like you get a lot more fat from donuts… but a LOT more calories and carbs from a bagel.
yes…but the donut offers no nurtitional value and will most likely leave you hungry since it’s filled with air pockets. people are more likely to eat two or three donuts to the one bagel. and calories aren’t everything. nutrition and health is not only about calories but also giving your body the vitamins and nutrients in order to function properly.
Donald, thats true.. however, this calorie info is w/o cream cheese, creem cheese is genrealy 100 to 150 calories per ounce. And cream cheese has a high content making you 2 to 1 ratio about equal on on fronts!
